The '90s ITV smash Gladiators hooked 14 million Brits with brutal fun from 1992 to 2000. Now, the muscle mayhem is roaring back to life as the Amazon Prime reboot is primed to smash screens.

After nearly two years of anticipation, Amazon is finally bringing back one of reality TV’s earliest competition hits, American Gladiators. The reboot is set to premiere on April 17, with three episodes, followed by another batch on April 24 and a final set of four episodes on May 1. This time around, the action will be led by Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, who steps in as host for the high-energy revival.

The new version is leaning into both nostalgia and fresh ideas. Fans can expect classic events like Joust, Powerball, Hang Tough, and The Wall to return, while new challenges such as The Ring and Collision aim to shake things up. 16 new Gladiators will take center stage as contestants compete for a $100,000 prize and the title of champion, keeping the original's competitive spirit alive while giving it a modern edge.

Behind the scenes, the reboot stays closely tied to its roots, with original creator Johnny C. Ferraro back as an executive producer alongside Daniel Calin and Barry Poznick. Fallout Season 2 will deliver weekly drops and big twists

Fallout has been busy dominating the scripted space.
