Anthony Michael Hall has spent decades working alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names, but his latest project introduced him to an entirely different kind of cast. Joining Fox’s new reality competition Nation’s Dumbest, the Breakfast Club star found himself sharing the stage with Ice-T, Steve-O, Dr. Drew, and several other unexpected personalities. And judging by Hall’s latest interview, the experience turned out to be even wilder than he imagined.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Anthony Michael Hall admitted he initially dismissed Nation’s Dumbest, believing the title simply was not for him. But after a slow start to 2026 in Hollywood, the Fox series won him over. The actor praised Ice-T, called host Jack Whitehall “one of the funniest comedians around,” and recalled Steve-O entertaining everyone with skateboard tricks before rushing off to clown school in Nashville.

"But I found out some OGs were going to be there, like Ice-T and Steve-O and Dr. Drew and everybody. You know, he's clean Steve-O now, but he's hilarious." Hall told Jimmy Fallon.

Hall’s latest revelation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon also shines a spotlight on Nation’s Dumbest, a reality competition unlike any other. Instead of battling to survive until the finale, contestants race to “graduate” and leave the competition first through a mix of trivia rounds, physical challenges, word games, and brain teasers. Alongside Hall, the Season 1 lineup features Ice-T, Steve-O, Jon Heder, JoJo Siwa, Andrew Yang, Hilaria Baldwin, Carmen Electra, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Elle King, Matt Leinart, and Chase “Huddy” Hudson.

However, long before reality television entered the picture, Anthony Michael Hall had already cemented his place as one of Hollywood’s defining stars of the 1980s.
