From bringing sports campaigns to life to invading the Emmys with his team, Ted Lasso is up for a fourth match. And Apple TV is wasting no time bringing the happy-go-lucky coach back for the summer.

Exactly two years after the third season's close, Ted Lasso's creators announced a fourth season for the award-winning show in March 2025. As of January 2026, Apple TV has booked the summer for the next season, aka Season 4.

Despite no official date, the star of the show and executive producer, Jason Sudeikis, returns for Season 4. Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Emmy winner Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift reprise their roles as well.

Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely are new additions to the cast. Retracing Ted's impromptu shifting to Richmond, Season 4 is set to explore new challenges for the former college football coach.

Ted Lasso's charm, just like Ted's almost dubiously uplifting nature, is the prestige that the show has attracted.

Awards charmed by Apple TV's Ted Lasso

The 2021 Emmy Awards saw Ted Lasso's Season 1 prevail across 20 nominations. It became the most-nominated show of the night that year with 7 wins. Along with acting awards bagged by Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, and Hannah Waddingham, Ted Lasso took away the Outstanding Comedy Series.

Continuing the prestige, the second season of the Apple TV show received yet another 20 nominations at the Emmys in 2022. However, this year, the previous year's 7 wins dropped down to 4. The show, however, still earned the Outstanding Comedy Series Award for another year.

For Season 3, the show earned 21 nominations but bagged only 2 wins: Sam Richardson for Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series and for Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics.

Season 4 of Ted Lasso brings forth a combination of old and new creators, like the Emmy-winning Jack Burditt. With Ted Lasso on Apple TV's 2026 roster, the soccer field is growing a little greener in anticipation of the summer release.
