'Before I Do': New LGBTQ Rom-Com Starring ‘Gossip Girl’ Actor Cole Doman Wraps Production

Cinema has stepped a flight of genres up and spun a brand new tale on its way. Melding two genres, one as old as time, and another a mark of the age of inclusivity, plus one Cole Doman: Before I Do is a little closer to the screens than before.

As per Variety, the slowly gaining traction Gary Jaffe film, Before I Do, has concluded its production as of January 27, 2026. Cole Doman, who was also seen in the 2021 Gossip Girl, stars in this romantic comedy feature.

Alongside Doman, Michael Hsu Rosen, Nico Greetham, Robin de Jesús, and Jared Reinfeldt also make up the cast. Thomas Wallis and Emily McCann Lesser play parts as producers of the upcoming film.

Joe Pirro, Henry Russell Bergstein, Andrew Tobias, Alex Bilbao, and Frank Glaser are the executive producers of Before I Do. Henry Russell Bergstein is also the casting director of the film, as per Variety.

Gary Jaffe has handpicked these actors to play his just as merrily written story.

What is Before I Do about?

Set during a bachelor-party weekend, a groom on the brink of marriage is faced with feelings he has long moved past, but not resolved. The twist, however, is in the fact that the said feelings are for his own best man.

As old friendships collide with new expectations, the celebration spirals into emotional chaos and unexpected confessions. Staying true to its comedic genre, the film explores love, timing, and the messy truth of choosing a person.

The sprawling Berkshires region of Massachusetts acts as the film's backdrop. With a release date yet to be assigned, this new rom-com number will bring forth Cole Doman's yet-to-be fully explored prowess.
