Bianca Censori Declares 2023 Venice Rumors False, Says It Was 'The First Time She Was Really Embarrassed'

The act of reclamation is something Bianca Censori is hell-bent on completing, along with her art projects this year. Out of the guise of performance, the mostly quiet Yeezy architect has shared her first experience of shame.
Bianca Censori and Kanye West's marriage has shifted many trends in pop culture. However, rather than the miscalculated Grammy spectacle in February 2025, Censori has revealed a sinister 2023 rumor, conceived atop a water taxi in Venice, to have affected her more than any other backlash.
"It was the first time I was really embarrassed, " Censori told Vanity Fair, "I felt embarrassed because of my dad." Despite the chagrin, the designer persisted in her ideology of not lingering on the emotion for too long, unless it was about her own expression.
"I wouldn’t be doing something I didn’t want to do," she revealed to Vanity Fair. Her statements come in response to the internet-wide conspiracy pointing towards Censori being repressed into custody since her marriage to West, which she has now confirmed is entirely untrue.
The acts that may have led to these speculations, however, are part of Censori's performances, rather than reality.
The map of Bianca Censori's art
Not a reality, of course, but for Bianca Censori, life and art blur. Her frequently spotted state of undress is actually part of an elaborate artistic statement. Her BIO POP performance, in fact, staged December 11–12, 2025, is just the opening act of a seven-year performance art project, per Vanity Fair.
The event, held in Seoul, South Korea, despite being clothed, displayed a visual that discomforted yet intrigued many. Using the human form contorted into furniture, Censori expressed her life as a canvas in the most raw sense.
Bianca Censori, on her path not to redemption but extension to her artistic expression, has shot down the first-ever response to her that made her feel shame. While her statements may pose a challenge for some, they do not exempt Censori's emotions from being apparent behind the scenes.
