Billboard’s fan poll for the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show is currently led by BTS with more than 80% of the vote, a result that has reignited debate after Bad Bunny’s 2026 performance drew political backlash.

Critics argue that another globally dominant, largely non‑English act could further divide traditional American football audiences already unsettled this year.

The poll places BTS far ahead of other contenders, with Taylor Swift and BLACKPINK each receiving just over 2%, while Morgan Wallen trails at around 1%.

An 'Other' category holds roughly 4%. The gap highlights how dramatically one fandom has outpaced mainstream American pop and country competitors.

While rivals trail in single digits, the frontrunners are preparing a global comeback machine unlike anything else.

Following their military hiatus, the group is returning in 2026 with their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG,' releasing on March 20. The 14-track project is described as a love letter to fans, with production contributions from Diplo. A global Netflix livestream concert and reunion documentary will accompany the album launch.

Their world tour will span 82 shows across 34 regions from April 2026 through March 2027, including stadium stops in Las Vegas, New Jersey, Los Angeles, London, and Paris. When it comes to Super Bowl halftime shows, any headliner is bound to make waves, whether American or international.
