K-Pop's duochromatic icons seem to be back in the area of group music, that is. BLACKPINK has launched a mini explosion, or album, set not far from January.

The last four years have seen the BLACKPINK members aplenty, only not as a band. Ceasing the solo-spell, the band reunited in 2025 with a single titled 'Jump', followed by their ongoing 'Deadline' world tour.

On January 14, 2026, the band's agency, YG Entertainment, announced BLACKPINK's third mini album, 'Deadline'. The album has been set to release on February 27, 2026.

This mini-album is preceded by 'Square Up' from 2018 and 2019's 'Kill This Love'. It also immediately succeeds their 2022 full-length album, 'Born Pink'.

While BLACKPINK's discography is only just getting busier, the same could not be said for Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.

BLACKPINK's several solo activities

Since releasing their 'Born Pink' album in 2022, BLACKPINK entered a period of reduced group activities, which is often cited as a group hiatus. Each of the memebers themseleves, however, kept the heat up with several solo launches and ventures.

Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa all launched their own agencies to manage their solo activities, each releasing albums and solo singles under them. Jennie and Lisa also pursued acting ventures during this time, appearing in 2023's The Idol and the 3rd seaosn of The White Lotus, respectively.

Rosé went on to release her debut album 'Rosie' in 2024, which also became the roots for the immensely hit song 'APT.' featuring Bruno Mars. Come February 27, BLACKPINK will revive a joint echo their fans have been waiting to hear for a long time.
