Seoul is preparing for a cultural moment led by BTS that blends music, heritage, and global attention. Familiar streets and landmarks are set to host something far larger than a standard release cycle, as anticipation builds and the city itself becomes part of the story, hinting this comeback will unfold far beyond the stage.
BTS is launching their long-awaited comeback with a citywide spectacle titled BTS THE CITY: ARIRANG SEOUL, transforming Seoul into an immersive celebration.
From March 20 to April 12, iconic landmarks, parks, and streets will host media art, installations, and fan experiences, turning the capital into a living extension of the group’s new era and signaling a global rollout.
Historic sites like Sungnyemun Gate and N Seoul Tower will glow with large-scale media facades, blending tradition with modern visuals. Downtown spaces will double as open-air exhibitions where lyrics appear through light and video.
A lounge-style listening program at Yeouido Hangang Park invites fans to experience the music together as Seoul shifts into an urban playground.
While the city pulses with light and lyrics, another stage opens quietly, carrying this Seoul moment far beyond Korea.
Netflix’s first worldwide live broadcast from Korea arrives with BTS
Netflix is partnering with HYBE for two major releases. The first is BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, a worldwide livestream of BTS’s first full-group performance post-military service, filmed at Gwanghwamun Square. It marks Netflix’s first-ever live global broadcast from Korea, setting a historic precedent.
Netflix will also release BTS: THE RETURN, a feature-length documentary capturing the group’s reunion, creative process, and transition back to global stardom. Directed by Bao Nguyen, the film will trace their journey from military life to the 'Arirang' album, positioning this comeback as both a personal reset and a worldwide cultural event.
