Stranger Things seems to be bound to touch every possible feat, apart from a finale that satisfies all. Caleb McLaughlin, for example, had won Max Mayfield's heart and could now win the NAACP.

Caleb McLaughlin has played Lucas Sinclair in Stranger Things. His spot-on delivery of the level-headed voice of The Party has propelled him to the NAACP Image Awards.

As per the NAACP Image Awards Website, McLaughlin has been nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actor award for Stranger Things. The nomination comes only a few days after the much-debated ending of the fifth and final season of the show.

McLaughlin joins Adrian Holmes, Ato Essandoh, Jacob Latimore, and Wood Harris. They have been nominated for Bel-Air, The Diplomat, The Chi, and Forever, respectively, as per the NAACP Image Awards website.

McLaughlin's nomination might seem important because of Stranger Things, but the NAACP signals a different, more colorful prestige.

What are the NAACP Image Awards?

NAACP is an abbreviation for The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, an American Civil Rights Organization, established in 1909. The first award, however, was handed out in 1967.

The NAACP awards, like the organization, have been established to honor the efforts of the black community in America. The concept for it was drawn by one of the first black stuntwomen in America, Toni Vaz, in 1967.

Caleb McLaughlin's NAACP nomination is setting up his foundations for future accolades. He may have been nominated for Stranger Things, but not without the armor of talent he dons.
