Cardi B Launches Haircare Line, Shuts Down Rivalry Talk With Beyoncé and Rihanna

Apr 2, 2026, 2:10 AM CUT

After Beyoncé, and Rihanna, it is now Cardi B who is stepping into the celebrity beauty landscape. The rapper is now gearing up to launch her haircare line, Grow-Good Beauty, on April 15, 2026. But even before the first product hits the shelves, the conversation has already pulled B into inevitable comparisons with industry heavyweights like Beyoncé and Rihanna.

Recently appearing on Aspire with Emma Grede, Cardi B opened up about her newest venture as the conversation quickly shifted to the saturated celebrity beauty market. Grede, known for building brands with the Kardashian family, questioned whether she saw herself stepping into a space already filled with big names like Beyoncé’s Cécred and Rihanna’s Fenty. Without missing a beat, she shut it down, making it clear that for her, it was never about competition, but about one thing only, what actually helps hair grow, positioning her brand as a solution rather than a rival.

“It’s not even about competition, it’s about what’s going to have your hair growing,” B told Grede.

Adding further to her stance, while speaking about Beyoncé’s Cécred haircare line, Cardi B openly showed her respect, calling it “very f****** good” and adding that she was saying it with full confidence. She also stressed that all hair is good, rejecting the idea that “good” hair is defined by any one texture.

“There’s no such thing as bad hair, and ‘good’ hair don’t mean a certain texture. All hair is good,” she added.

However, amid her rising success, what truly propelled the chart-topping rapper into the beauty industry.

All about Cardi B’s viral 2020 DIY haircare moment

Back in 2020, Cardi B had already stirred the internet with her DIY hair mask, mixing avocado, eggs, and mayonnaise into a routine that quickly went viral. By 2022, she pushed it further, revealing her use of boiled onion water, turning raw, homegrown remedies into headline moments.

That same raw, all-natural approach has now seemed to find its way into Grow-Good Beauty, with ingredients like avocado and banana at its core, inspired by heritage rituals passed down through her Dominican roots. And clearly, the demand was already there, as the brand’s pre-orders sold out fast, with every product, from shampoo and conditioner to serums and hair masks, priced at under $20.

Amid the growing buzz around her upcoming launch, Cardi B dominates the stage as she headlines her Little Miss Drama tour across North America, which kicked off on February 11, 2026, and runs through mid-April. She continues to reign on the Billboard Hot 100, standing as the only female rapper with multiple solo chart-toppers and number-one hits across two decades.

And while Cardi B continues her tour, her upcoming launch, Grow-Good Beauty, is already drawing attention, marking her next move beyond music.
