Country star Chase Rice has officially returned to the studio after stepping away from the road earlier this year. The 40-year-old singer, known for hits like 'Eyes on You,' took a much-needed break after 13 years of nonstop touring. The hiatus was not just a pause but a full creative reset, and it seems the time away has already sparked something new in Rice.
Chase Rice revealed he is back in the studio making new music after stepping away from touring earlier this year. He shared the update through Instagram, noting that performing at Red Rocks and Stagecoach reignited his love for the stage. The shows reminded him why music matters, the fans, the stories, and the feeling of living inside a song.
"Back in the studio. Some time off at the start of the year, then right into Red Rocks and Stagecoach was wild," Rice wrote on Instagram.
He then added, "I don't know what that's gonna do for these songs, but I can't wait to find out," suggesting the break has fueled genuine creative curiosity rather than pressure.
Previously, Rice took to Instagram in January and reflected on stepping back after 13 years of constant touring, admitting he felt exhausted and disconnected from music. He had not been able to be himself on stage or truly enjoy performing the way he once did. Rice wrote that stepping away was not really a decision but something he simply had to do for himself, marking a rare moment of honesty from an artist who had spent over a decade grinding through the industry without pause.
Just as the road had worn Rice down, the stillness seems to have quietly handed him something worth singing about.
Chase Rice steps back to recharge and rediscover his creative self
Away from the road, Chase Rice is embracing family time, visiting his niece and nephews, catching up with friends, golfing, fishing, traveling, and even watching The Chosen. He is not simply resting but gathering stories, moments, and emotions worth singing about. For Rice, living fully is now part of the creative process.
In the same January post, Rice thanked his band and crew warmly, acknowledging they had witnessed his lowest moments yet never wavered in their loyalty. He hinted that the next chapter of his career will look nothing like the past 13 years, signaling a meaningful artistic shift ahead. Rice also made a fun appearance alongside Sydney Sweeney at her SYRN pop-up salon karaoke event during Stagecoach Festival. His latest studio album, 'ELDORA,' released in 2025, remains his most recent body of work while fans await what comes next.
