Live television has a talent for catching even the most decorated stars off guard. During a recent daytime talk show appearance, Olympic champion Chloe Kim tried to fangirl over a pop icon and stumbled over her words in a hilarious moment. Gold medals aside, Kim proves that live broadcasts can humble anyone in an instant.

Chloe Kim accidentally quoted Kelly Clarkson while trying to praise Pink during an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

“What doesn’t k--- you makes you…” she sang, pausing as she realized her mistake.

Pink then replied with a laugh, “Aw… that’s Kelly Clarkson. But that’s fine ’cause I’m Kelly Clarkson today.” The lyric actually belongs to Clarkson’s hit 'Stronger (What Doesn’t K--- You),' not P!nk's catalog.

The episode aired on March 3, with P!nk guest-hosting in Kelly Clarkson’s absence. Mid-sentence, Kim realized her slip, quickly apologizing and correcting herself by referencing Pink’s song "Perfect."

P!nk laughed, stood, and gave her a reassuring hug, easing the moment. Kim later explained that a pre-show nap had left her a little groggy, causing the mix-up.

While pop lyrics tripped her up on daytime TV, sports once delivered an even bigger misunderstanding.

Chloe Kim has had her fair share of name mix-ups

This was not Chloe Kim’s first public mix-up. On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she revealed she once confused her boyfriend, NFL star Myles Garrett, with DJ Martin Garrix. Invited to a game by a mutual friend, she misheard Garrett’s name and assumed she was attending an EDM performance instead of a football matchup.

Expecting a halftime DJ set, Kim even cheered for the opposing Los Angeles Rams while waiting for Martin Garrix to appear. The realization that the star was actually the Cleveland Browns' defensive end on the field made the story even funnier. From pop anthems to NFL names, her candid honesty keeps fans entertained.
