The Critics' Choice Awards have rolled in yet again, as 2026 settles in. In the digital age, it is only wise to keep some stay-at-home, cable-less options greased up and ready to stream.

The 31st Critics' Choice Awards will commence on January 4, 2026. Scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. PT and running until 10 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. PT, the award show will air on E! News and USA Network.

The show can also be streamed via DirecTV, Fubo, Sling, and Hulu+Live TV, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It will also be livestreamed on the USA Network website, as well as on SYFY and Oxygen apps.

Chelsea Handler will be returning after her 2025 session with the awards for hosting the Critics' Choice Awards 2026. Handler has hosted the show in the years 2023 and 2024 as well.

The prestige of the Critics' Choice Awards

The Critics' Choice Awards, as most, were made to honor the finest cinematic achievements of the previous year. The first of them was given out in 1996.

The awards would range from Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, to Best Foreign Language Film and Best Young Performer initially. The foundational list grew through the years, with Best Casting and Ensemble and Best Stunt Design being the most recent additions in 2025.
