'Dancing With the Stars' Just Gave Fans Something New to Cha-Cha-Cheer About

From the “For You Page” to center stage, the 12 remaining couples on “Dancing with the Stars” perform dances set to songs that have dominated TikTok.

Dancing With the Stars has fans practically reaching for the stars, propelled skyward by a freshly unveiled announcement that feels perfectly timed. The series recently closed its record-breaking thirty-fourth season, capped by a finale that delivered its strongest viewership in years and crowned Robert Irwin. That momentum now lifts audiences even higher with a bold new development.

Dancing with the Stars has officially unveiled its biggest fan-facing expansion yet: Dancing With the Stars Con, the show’s first-ever convention. Announced on Good Morning America, the three-day event directly commemorates the franchise’s twentieth anniversary.

The weekend experience is structured as an immersive extension of the ballroom itself. Programming includes live dance showcases, notably a Saturday night production directed by Mandy Moore, followed by behind-the-scenes panels, audience Q&A sessions, curated photo moments, and convention-exclusive merchandise.

The announcement by the cast on Good Morning America also came with exciting deets. The guest list reads like a carefully balanced dance card. Professional fixtures such as Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, and Daniella Karagach mingle with winners and crowd favorites including Robert Irwin, Xochitl Gomez, JoJo Siwa, and Kristi Yamaguchi, ensuring past and present share the floor.

The judging table is represented as well, with Bruno Tonioli confirmed to attend. Not to mention ticket sales roll out is also set in place through Ticketmaster, beginning with a Verizon presale, followed by Mirrorball Member access, before opening to the general public, reinforcing the event’s fan-first design.

This new exciting convention is coming at a faster rate than you might have expected.

When will the Dancing With the Stars convention start?

According to the announcement made by the cast on Good Morning America, the Dancing with the Stars Con officially begins on Friday, July 31, setting the tone for a tightly programmed three-day celebration. The opening day centers on a welcome event, followed by behind-the-scenes panels that contextualize how weekly ballroom routines reach broadcast polish.

Saturday, August 1, escalates matters with photo encounters and a performance overseen by Mandy Moore, who understands timing better than most. By Sunday, August 2, a matinee, mock competition, and farewell ensure the exit is as choreographed as the entrance.
