Netflix's grip on motorsport drama tightens as Formula 1: Drive to Survive Season 8 revs into view. With the speed these cars tend to run, the season's drop is closer than expected.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive has turned casual viewers into grid obsessives with its helmet-cam tension, team tantrums, and driver rivalries. Netflix, the stage of the show, has taken notes and refreshed the show for an eighth season.

The streamer has revealed the Season 8 of Formula 1: Drive to Survive to drop on February 27, 2026. The premiere aligns with F1's pre-season buzz, arriving just before the 2026 Australian Grand Prix.

This season, the show will once again focus on the behind-the-scenes lens, bringing to light the happenings at the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. Executive producers James Gay-Rees, Paul Martin, and Tom Hutchings have boarded as well.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive 's release in February is, however, flanked by several other releases as well.

Netflix's February release lineup

Starting with Glitter & Gold: Ice Dancing on February 1, Is It Cake? Valentines, The Lincoln Lawyer's Season 4, and Love Is Blind's Season 10 will also come through. They will be arriving on February 4, 5, and 11, respectively.

The Night Agent's Season 3 and Strip Law, Bridgerton Season 4, Part 2 follow, with releases on February 19 and 20, and 26, respectively. Before February commences, Free Bert, Skyscraper Live, Mike Epps: Delusional, Bridgerton Season 4, Part 1 will all be released on January 22, 23, 27, and 29, respectively.

February inches closer with the speed of a Formula 1 car, nonetheless. In turn, Netflix is polishing up its release track for a smooth Formula 1: Drive to Survive return.
