FIFA has unveiled its first-ever three-city Countdown Concert series ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Major Lazer, Davido, Los Ángeles Azules, Belinda, Elena Rose, Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi, Wyclef Jean and several other artists set to perform across Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Toronto on June 10.

Developed in collaboration with the Grammys, the synchronized concert experience will connect the tournament's three host nations — the United States, Mexico, and Canada — through a shared celebration of music, football, and culture. The event comes as preparations continue for the largest FIFA World Cup in history, which will feature 48 teams across three countries.

The concerts will be staged simultaneously across the three cities and streamed globally through FIFA's digital platforms, including a worldwide livestream on the FIFA World Cup TikTok account. FIFA is positioning the event as a major milestone in the countdown to a tournament expected to draw billions of viewers from around the world.

In Mexico City, Los Ángeles Azules will headline the celebration at the Auditorio Nacional alongside pop star Belinda and Venezuelan singer-songwriter Elena Rose. The event will also tie into México Vibra, a larger showcase featuring artists including Alejandro Fernández, Carín León, Timbiriche, Carla Morrison, and Meme del Real.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles and Toronto will host their own star-studded lineups, setting the stage for a unique cross-border celebration that reflects the multinational nature of the 2026 World Cup.

Why FIFA is turning the World Cup countdown into a global entertainment event?

The Countdown Concert series represents more than a traditional pre-tournament celebration. Rather than staging separate promotional events in each host nation, FIFA is using the concerts to create a shared moment between fans in Canada, Mexico, and the United States nearly a year before the tournament begins.

Los Angeles will host the United States edition of the concert at Crypto.com Arena, where Diplo's Major Lazer project and Nigerian superstar Davido will headline the festivities. Additional performers are expected to be announced in the coming days, further strengthening the event's entertainment appeal.

"The Countdown Concert series celebrates the passion, unity and cultural connections across three countries and around the world that define the FIFA World Cup 2026," said Manolo Zubiria, FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Tournament Officer – USA, in a FIFA press release.

The global reach of the initiative is a key part of FIFA's strategy. Alongside the live broadcasts, fans will be able to tune in through FIFA's digital channels, with TikTok serving as the exclusive social media livestream partner. The full concerts, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes content, will also be made available through FIFA's video-on-demand platform, VuMe Live.

As the countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues, the three-city concert series offers an early glimpse into how FIFA plans to blend sport, entertainment, and culture on an unprecedented scale before the opening match is even played.
