Finn Wolfhard on 'SNL': ‘Stranger Things’ Star Delivers a Hilarious ‘Harry Potter’ x ‘Heated Rivalry’ Sketch

It turns out that merging two different fandoms only requires a stir of the cauldron. Accordingly, Finn Wolfhard's recipe for SNL has Harry Potter, Heated Rivalry, and everything fruity ever seen.

Finn Wolfhard's takeover for NBC's Saturday Night Live had been scheduled for January 17. Regarded sometimes as a rite of passage, Wolfhard shed his Stranger Things skin by putting on Heated Rivalry's. Upkeeping the oddity, it was set in HBO's upcoming Harry Potter verse.

Titled Heated Wizardry, the skit was a parody of the two opposite spectrums of HBO. While Finn Wolfhard took on the role of Harry Potter and Shane Hollander, Ben Marshall played Ron Weasley, combined with Ilya Rozanov.

Ice Hockey is replaced with Quidditch, and hotel rooms with Invisibility Cloaks. To dodge the sobriety of professional sport and the age restrictions of high school, college locker rooms are seen instead.

Finn Wolfhard's Saturday night was dotted with many more things apart from spice and wizardry.

Finn Wolfhard's SNL itinerary

To start, Finn Wolfhard made his advancement from playing a teenager in Stranger Things very apparent. His jabs at the characters were also aided by co-stars Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin joining him onstage.

Wolfhard traversed from a podcast with the Snackhomiez to clashing horns as an indie rock appreciator with a pop star father. A space emperor and a pressured-to-impress boyfriend were also on the list.

Finn Wolfhard has crossed the line of maturity with a shaky, but still there, first time on SNL. His Stranger Things days will now, for some time, be overwritten with a Heated Wizardry wand.
