The expanding underworld of Tulsa King is preparing for its next chapter with the arrival of Frisco King. While the new series follows Russell Lee Washington Jr., the character played by Samuel L. Jackson, a certain sprinkle of Supe has also made its way to the Texan underbelly with Asa Germann.

Inspired by how Dwight, portrayed by Sylvester Stallone, rebuilt his criminal empire from scratch in Oklahoma, Russell begins envisioning a second act of his own. Now, as the story shifts toward Texas and a fresh criminal playground, an unexpected recruit from Vought’s universe is stepping into the mix.

That newcomer is Asa Germann, who rose to prominence through his role as the young Super Sam Riordan in the superhero satire series Gen V. Germann’s addition brings one of the breakout faces from the Vought-controlled world into a very different kind of power struggle.

Instead of navigating superpowered campus politics, Germann will now enter the gritty ecosystem forming around Russell Lee Washington Jr.. The Paramount+ series itself has undergone a notable evolution during development, shifting from its originally conceived identity of NOLA King to the present name, with production dates set for late March, 2026.

While Asa Germann prepares to step into the Texan underbelly, the universe that first propelled him into the spotlight is also gearing up for another explosive chapter.

The Supes are ready to roll for one last ride

The latest trailer for The Boys has teased a darker escalation in the battle between Supes and their enemies, with Homelander, played by Antony Starr, appearing increasingly obsessed with pushing his powers to the state of immortality. The teaser also strengthens the growing crossover between The Boys and its college-set spinoff, Gen V.

Characters portrayed by Jaz Sinclair and London Thor briefly appear alongside Starlight, played by Erin Moriarty, signaling that the next season may blur the lines between the two stories even further. Elsewhere, Billy Butcher, played by Karl Urban, continues to grapple with the dangerous side effects of his earlier exposure to Compound-V, leaving his future uncertain.

For fans of Asa Germann, the trailer serves as a reminder of the chaotic superhero world he comes from, even as the actor now prepares to trade Vought’s superpowered chaos for the grounded criminal ambitions unfolding in Frisco King.
