George Clooney, 64, and his family are now officially French citizens. 8 years into being parents, the veteran actor and his wife, Amal Clooney, have decided to raise their children in France.

Speaking to RTL network, Clooney had claimed privacy as the primary reason for this shift, as per The Hollywood Reporter. Subsequently, the Clooneys' decision largely comes with concern for their children.

"Here, they don’t take photos of kids. That’s number one for us," Clooney told RTL, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In addition, the Clooneys are familiar with French grounds, with their property in Southern France they frequent.

Moving to France is yet another step in George Clooney's steady family life.

While he has spent his active years bewitching the screen, George Clooney's partner spent her days fighting crime against humanity. Clooney married Amal Alamuddin, a British-Lebanese human rights lawyer, in September 2014.

The couple had braved false tabloids and criticism on their different backgrounds. George Clooney and Amal Clooney are now parents to eight-year-old twins, Ella Clooney and Alexander Clooney.

Adorning the silver screen comes with its prices, but to George Clooney, not compromises. With the Clooney couple setting up a life in France, their family awaits a comfortably private life on European grounds.
