Later, ‘Touch the Sky’ from ‘Late Registration’ soared with Lupe Fiasco’s debut verse, its Curtis Mayfield sample giving the track timeless energy, while Leon Thomas celebrated his win for ‘Mutt.’ Each performance highlighted West’s bold vision and lasting influence on modern music.

Kanye West was barred from performing at the 2026 Grammy Awards after his troubling activity on social media raised serious concerns. His posts targeting Trevor Noah and Kim Kardashian, including bullying and inflammatory remarks, prompted the decision.

A source close to Kanye West’s inner circle told The Sun that he will not be invited to the 2026 Grammys, insisting the decision is final. The insider emphasised that the awards show considers him unwelcomed. 

This comes despite West’s recent efforts to repair his image, including taking out a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal. In it, Ye expressed remorse for his past behaviour, acknowledged mistreating people close to him, and promised to take responsibility for his actions.

Kanye West asked the public for patience as he attempts to rebuild his reputation. Sources say the bridge with the Grammys is already burned, making reconciliation highly unlikely. The tension stems from his history of unpredictable behaviour, including a eye-opening red carpet appearance with Bianca Censori last year. 

Insiders confirmed he was not sent an invitation and noted that with West, anything could happen. While the music world enjoyed his songs, he remained notably absent.
