The charm of award ceremonies often lies not in the glamor but in the host who enlivens the time in between accolades. Trevor Noah had done exactly that, but with a limit set to his wit.

The 68th Grammy's ceremony is set to commence on February 1, 2026. Come the esteemed date, Trevor Noah will adorn the host's position for the sixth time in a row.

It is also set to be the last time he does so, as per Grammy's executive producer Ben Winston on January 13, 2026. Noah will also be serving as an executive producer this season.

"I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth, and sadly, final time," said Winston in a statement, as per several outlets. Noah's hosting has been remarked on for his smooth handling of the ceremony in 2021 amid COVID-19.

Trevor Noah's last time as host goes hand in hand with CBS's own timed collaboration with the Grammy Awards.

Why is Trevor Noah leaving the Grammys?

Trevor Noah has served as an ace for CBS's Paramount branch, Comedy Central. He had taken on the Grammy stage while acting as The Daily Show's host till 2022.

The Grammys' broadcast partnership with CBS will come to an end with the 2026 season. Come next year, the ceremony will air on the ABC channel, through to 2036. This will be part of the Grammy Awards' 10-year deal with Disney.

Although he is leaving, Trevor Noah has already made a mark on the Grammy stage with a 6-year run. Perhaps 2027 onwards, the host may change, but Noah's blueprint might remain.
