“He’ll Get Over It” - Rick Ross Addresses the Possibility of Reconciling With Drake

Rick Ross believes Drake will eventually get over their beef, and according to Ross, he himself has nothing to move on from. The Miami rapper made his position plain and simple, placing the onus of resolution squarely on Drake. As far as Ross is concerned, the score is already settled on his end.

Rick Ross is open to reconciliation with Drake, but only on his own terms. The Miami rapper placed the responsibility entirely on Drake, making clear he personally has nothing to resolve. And Ross did not mince a single word about it.

"You know to me he stepped outta line. He got checked. And I feel like he'll get over it, you know," he said on Clue Radio.

Ross then added, "I mean when it come to this music s***, it's rap s***. We are undefeated with it," emphasizing that the music between them speaks louder than any fallout.

The feud traces back to April 2024, when Drake's diss track 'Push Ups' targeted Ross alongside several other rappers, questioning his chart success and crediting it entirely to Drake features. Ross fired back with 'Champagne Moments,' coining the viral 'BBL Drizzy' nickname and alleging ghostwriting. The back-and-forth continued through social media and performances, keeping the tension very much alive well into 2026.

The cool exterior is one thing, but the timeline behind it is anything but clean, so what actually lit the fuse?

Rick Ross and Drake's timeline

Rick Ross and Drake built a genuinely fruitful partnership through the early 2010s, collaborating on records like 'Stay Schemin', 'Aston Martin Music,' and 'Money in the Grave.' A brief fallout in 2015 over the Meek Mill beef was resolved by 2017, and collaborations resumed. The 2024 wave, however, hit differently.

Drake's diss reignited old loyalty debates within the industry, pulling in French Montana and others. Ross, meanwhile, has continued throwing light jabs, including muting Drake's vocals during a 2026 Verzuz. His Clue Radio message is simple: Drake got checked, Ross moved on, the rest is Drake's problem to solve.

What are your thoughts on Ross leaving reconciliation entirely up to Drake? Let us know in the comments.
