Netflix's Evil Influencer has traced an event that leaves one horrified with the workings of the influencer regime. And interest in the crux bearers of these horrors' whereabouts is only natural.

Mom-influencer Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt had taken over the Internet when their schemes were revealed to be a threat to Franke's own children. Franke's then 12-year-old son breaking free from confines triggered the state of Franke and Hildebrandt today.

Both Franke and Hildebrandt had been sentenced to serve four consecutive terms of 1 to 15 years back in February 2024. Both individuals now await their first parole hearing scheduled for December 2026, as per Netflix Tudum.

Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story on Netflix is helmed by Sky Borgman, as per Netflix Tudum. The documentary starts with a CCTV footage of Franke's son having managed to break away, asking for food and water from a nearby house.

Ruby Franke had been known via her YouTube account named 8 Passengers, where she would upload videos of her and her family's day-to-day life. She later came into more negative light when her increased audience began to take notice of her unusual parenting tactics.

Following her divorce from Kevin Franke, she joined ConneXions to work as a mental health coach. Meeting Jodi Hildebrandt, a counsellor and founder of the company, kick-started their own podcast about family and parental navigation, ironically.
