Nearly a decade after Stranger Things launched his career, Noah Schnapp revealed an unexpected truth: confidence did not protect him. He explained that early fame distorted self-awareness, leaving young performers exposed to scrutiny without emotional tools or professional guidance.

“It’s hard to grow up in the public eye,” Noah Schnapp told USA Today, describing how childhood confusion collides with adult expectations. He explained that missteps, embarrassment, and immaturity become permanent records, denying young actors the privacy required to learn, mature, and recover.

Building on that pressure, Schnapp acknowledged to USA Today that, for him, therapy only later became necessary. Yet, he believes that child actors should not shy away from seeking professional help, echoing Ariana Grande’s call for mandatory support.

Consequently, the Stranger Things actor stressed that parental care alone cannot counter Hollywood’s intensity. He cited Los Angeles as disorienting and explained how industry pressures foster depression, eating disorders, and substance abuse, reinforcing why structured mental health systems must accompany child stardom.
