'Jujutsu Kaisen' Season 3: Episodes and Runtime Guide to the Culling Game Arc

Jan 8, 2026, 1:20 PM CUT

An arc is only a small segment of a story, yet for a feat like Jujutsu Kaisen, the narrative needs attention that runs deeper than detail. Season 3 of the anime has been spun with the exact agenda.

Season 3 of Gege Akutami's serialized story's adaptation has reached its ninth major arc. Addressed as the 'Culling Games', the first two episodes, named Execution and One More Time, have been released on Crunchyroll.

These two episodes hold a combined runtime, extending the premiere to about 1 hour. The remainder of the episodes will air according to a regular, weekly schedule.

MAPPA has yet to confirm the total number of episodes for Jujutsu Kaisen's third season. Judging by the previous seasons' releases, it is likely this season will carry 24-26 episodes as well.

For it to have garnered this stature of anticipation, the Culling Game does carry a plot point of Jujutsu Kaisen that suffices.

Jujutsu Kaisen—the Culling Game arc

The Culling Game follows the Hidden Inventory and Shibuya Incident arcs. It will culminate the manga arcs called Itadori's Extermination and Perfect Preparation, in combination with The Culling Game.

The arc itself continues the exploits of the ancient curse user, Kenjaku. As he unleashes a massive high-stakes battle royale at the heart of Tokyo city, the sorcerers will have to stop the entity from ushering in a new era.

The sorcerers are faced with yet another showdown with Jujutsu Kaisen's third season. With the first two episodes ready to watch, the decade's most anticipated anime now awaits a justified adaptation.
