The Last of Us is one of the most celebrated franchises today owing to the original video games which garnered a loyal fanbase. During its debut, it sold around 37 million copies. And it seems that one of those was purchased by none other than Kanye West, whose wife stands witness to his love for the same.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Bianca Censori shared about her family and private life. Therein, she also shared Kanye West’s love for plot-heavy video games.

"Ye plays Mafia and other plot-heavy games like The Last of Us on the PlayStation" Censori said.

West’s fondness for plot-heavy games feels less like a hobby and more like a tell. The same appetite for narrative, drama, and slow-burning tension that animates Mafia or The Last of Us has long spilled into his work, seeping from his fashion, through his albums, and into nearly everything he touches.

West's own past adds weight to Bianca Censori's Vanity Fair confession. He once posted an Instagram story of a snippet from his game and wrote, "By faaaaaaarrrr the best game ever made so far," revealing his liking towards the game and how much he enjoys it.

Apart from PlayStation, Bianca Cenosri has also previously revealed that West is a Huge fan of Nintendo, especially the Switch.

Once Kanye West was about to collaborate with Nintendo

Kanye West, in 2015, pitched a game he came up with to Nintendo’s game director, Shigeru Miyamoto. The game's name Only One, was announced by him in 2016 at Yeezy Fashion Week in NewYork. A trailer was revealed in E3. It was about his late mother, Donda West, where the player took control of her as she flew to heaven.

There has been no update on the game since, but it was revealed in a podcast, Talking Games With Reggie and Harold, by former Nintendo COO, Reggie Fils-Aimé, that they had to politely decline it. The COO said that they did not think it was the right time to collaborate with Kanye West, as there were other projects already going on at Nintendo.

Clearly, that did not stopWest’s liking for video games, and he continues to play and spend his spare time enjoying plot-heavy games.
