Kanye West’s alleged temper became a focal point in a California courtroom this week as testimony related to renovations at his Malibu mansion brought a tense workplace moment into public view. The exchange, which dates back to 2021, resurfaced during proceedings tied to an ongoing civil lawsuit over the oceanfront property.
As per an exclusive report by the New York Post, maintenance worker Jeromy Holding testified that in October 2021, he saw Kim Kardashian arrive at the property in a Lamborghini and mistakenly confused her with Bianca Censori, who was working as an architect on the project.
“She’s the most famous woman in the world and you call her by another woman’s name?” Jeromy Holding told the court that Kanye West later confronted him over the mix-up.
He allegedly accused him of making the error intentionally, turning what he described as a brief misunderstanding into a heated exchange.

Jeromy Holding said he was mortified by the mistake and even offered to quit on the spot. According to his testimony, Kanye West responded, “Nah,” and he ultimately remained employed on the project despite the tense exchange.
The testimony emerged as part of an ongoing dispute surrounding West’s $57 million Malibu compound renovations.
Jeromy Holding’s testimony may have centered on a brief moment of embarrassment, but it unfolded within a far more serious dispute, one that has placed the entire Malibu renovation project under legal scrutiny.
Kanye West's broader legal battle over the Malibu Mansion
Beyond the mistaken greeting that drew attention in court, the lawsuit itself centers on much more serious allegations tied to the renovation of West’s Malibu property. Contractor John Saxon has accused the project of involving unsafe working conditions, structural concerns, and disputes over compensation. His claims form the backbone of the civil case currently moving through the legal system.
The oceanfront home, reportedly purchased for $57 million, underwent significant architectural changes as part of an ambitious redesign. Those modifications, including alterations that allegedly affected the property’s livability and safety, have become a focal point in the dispute. Court proceedings have examined not only payment issues but also the broader oversight and management of the renovation process.

As testimony continues, the case has drawn attention for highlighting the complexities of high-value construction projects tied to celebrity ownership. Both West and Bianca Censori are reportedly expected to testify, which could provide further clarity about decision-making, project supervision, and workplace conditions at the property.
