It is only natural for an Oscar winner to present their achievement as grandly as they received it. Kate Winslet turns her fulfillment a notch up, and stores her statuette in her bathroom, but not without a plan.

It was 2009 when Kate Winslet took to the Oscars stage for the first time. Winning the Best Actress Award for The Reader, Winslet has assumed an odd way of displaying the token in her lavatory. The placement, however, does not come with a lack of space, but with Winslet's sense of sharing her gains.

"The whole point is for everybody to pick it up and go," she told the Wall Street Journal. By "go", the actress hinted at her visitors using the privacy of the space, and pretending to receive an Oscar Award. While her hospitality extends into a few minutes in heaven, it does not come without her own enjoyment.

"You can always tell when someone has, because they’re in there a little bit longer after they flushed," she explained in the interview. The prolonged time spent in the washroom, and the look of short-lived, "pink-cheeked" contentment leaves Winslet humored.

While anyone else would not be, Winslet's children are probably habituated to the statuette in the bathroom, or maybe they are not.

Kate Winslet's kids and her filmography

Actors often express keeping their showbiz lives and their children's lives in a water-to-oil ratio: separate. Kate Winslet, however, experiences what it is like to have her films actively sought after by her children. Her daughter, Mia Threapleton, even holds a consistent liking for the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind soundtrack.

"She plays the soundtrack all the time," Winslet expressed to the Wall Street Journal. She revealed that her blockbuster movies, Divergent (2014) and Insurgent (2015), have both been enjoyed by her children.

Kate Winslet and her children seem to thoroughly enjoy her hand at acting. The Oscar winner, in fact, has far from taken her award for granted, by turning it into a shared experience for her visitors.
