Katseye Owned the Coachella 2026 Stage, But Manon Bannerman’s Absence Stood Out

Apr 11, 2026, 10:18 AM CUT

After rocking their recently released music video ‘Pinky Up’ on April 9, 2026, Katseye stepped into Coachella with momentum on their side, marking their second single of the year with striking confidence. However, as they lit up the April 10 night at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, something felt unmistakably different.

Despite delivering a spotlight-stealing performance, fans could not ignore the absence of a familiar presence, as Manon Bannerman was missing from the frame, raising questions that quickly began to echo louder than the performance itself.

While speculation quickly began to build, the real reason Manon Bannerman did not join Lara, Yoonchae, Daniela Avanzini, Sophia Laforteza, and Megan Skiendiel on stage traces back to a health update shared by Katseye on February 20. The group confirmed that Manon would take a temporary hiatus to focus on her health and well-being, adding that they fully support her decision. They also reassured fans that the group would continue its scheduled activities while remaining committed to each other and their audience.

“we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and well-being. We fully support this decision." Katseye issued a notice on this on Feb 20th.

However, this is not the first time Manon Bannerman’s absence has been noticed, as the fan-favourite was also missing from Katseye’s recent release ‘Pinky Up’, with the reason once again pointing toward her health. Even so, the group continues to move forward with the same commitment, standing by each other and their fans. And with a packed 2026 lineup ahead, Katseye’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

As the year has already kicked off with major wins for EYEKONS’, the months ahead look set to flip the script even further for the group.

Katseye’s 2026 upcoming plans for their EYEKONS

After already stealing the spotlight on April 10 at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Katseye is set to return once again on April 17, extending their presence on one of the year’s biggest stages. From there, the momentum only builds, as the group moves into a packed festival run with Governors Ball from June 5–7, followed by Hinterland Music Festival from July 30 to August 2, and Head In The Clouds Festival on August 8, 2026. Each stage marks another step in a year that continues to scale bigger for the group.

At the same time, their music rollout keeps pace with that rise, kicking off with ‘Internet Girl’ in January before moving into their latest comeback ‘Pinky Up’ on April 9. The group now appears to be building toward something larger, teasing a possible 2026 album ‘K3’ with early track hints like ‘Bestest Friends’, ‘Fancy is a Frequency’, and ‘Us Against the World’ already surfacing. As the year unfolds, both their performances and releases seem to move in sync, pushing the group into a steadily growing global moment.

While Manon Bannerman remains absent from the Coachella stage, the group’s upcoming April 17 performance still promises to light up the desert just as fiercely for Katseye’s EYEKONS.
