The Kennedy family is making headlines again, this time crossing into sports entertainment. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed an unexpected twist blending politics, athletics, and WWE intrigue, sparking curiosity about which rising star is about to step into the wrestling ring.

During a public forum on education and fitness on March 5, 2026, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that his niece, Boston College standout Zoe Hines, has officially signed a contract with WWE.

Kennedy Jr. credited former WWE executive Linda McMahon for helping secure the opportunity. The news marks Hines' official entry into professional wrestling, signaling a bold transition from collegiate athletics to sports entertainment.

Kennedy revealed the signing while discussing physical fitness, catching McMahon off guard with the unexpected announcement. WWE frequently recruits elite athletes from other sports, and Hine’s move follows a trend of college stars joining the Next In Line program.

This pipeline is designed to train athletes in WWE’s style, preparing them for the Performance Center and eventual television appearances.

While college athletics test agility and stamina, stepping into WWE adds spectacle and a whole new level of intensity.

Zoe Hine transitions from college sports to the WWE ring

Zoe Hines is not yet a trained professional wrestler. At Boston College, she excelled in softball as an infielder/outfielder and was a four-sport athlete in high school, including basketball, bowling, and weightlifting.

Her athletic versatility makes her a strong candidate for WWE, but her journey will start with learning the unique wrestling style from scratch at the Performance Center.

Hines will spend 12 to 18 months training full-time at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The program focuses on developing in-ring skills, character work, and audience engagement.

She may first appear in NXT crowd segments or as part of other wrestlers’ entourages before making her in-ring debut, following the structured path that many elite athletes take to WWE stardom.
