Kevin Jonas is putting his marriage front and center in his latest solo music release. The Jonas Brothers member revealed that his new song ''Little Things' was written as a tribute to wife Danielle Jonas, admitting that their 16-year marriage is deeply woven into the track.

“It’s a great extension of my story with Danielle, it truly is,” Kevin told PEOPLE while opening up about the emotional inspiration behind the song. Kevin explained that the track includes deeply personal references to Danielle, from her love of yellow gold jewelry to the matching tattoos they share. The singer even joked that he had to swap her wedding band at one point because “she only wears yellow gold.”

The release marks Kevin’s second solo song after 'Changing,' as he continues exploring a more personal side of songwriting outside the Jonas Brothers.

But according to Kevin Jonas, Little Things is ultimately about far more than grand romantic gestures.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Kevin Jonas explained that the song celebrates the tiny details that continue to make his relationship with Danielle Jonas special nearly two decades later.

“We have three big years ahead of us,” Kevin said while reflecting on upcoming milestones, including Danielle’s birthday, his own milestone year and the couple’s 20th wedding anniversary in 2029.

“Danielle always inspires me when I’m in the writing room,” he explained, adding that her opinion still matters most whenever he records new music. The singer also admitted Danielle remains deeply involved in his creative process, describing her as “in the DNA” of nearly everything he writes.

“I was like, ‘Babe, this one’s about you,’” Kevin even confessed he nervously sent her the song while keeping its inspiration a secret. He recalled, revealing that Danielle ended up loving it. Their bond, Kevin says, has only grown stronger with time — especially through challenges.

“She is so much better now,” he shared, praising Danielle’s strength and selflessness while explaining how the couple focused on getting life back to normal together after Danielle revealed her Lyme disease battle in 2025, Kevin said supporting her recovery became a major priority for the family.
