If there is one pair of people that could prove blood is not a precursor of family, they happen to be divorced. Long after a viral separation, Kim Kardashian and ex Kanye West seem to be in a better place, but for a reason personified.

Kanye West and the Kardashian-Jenner clan's second-oldest, Kim Kardashian, had gotten married grandly, back in 2014, only to separate in 2022. In 2026, the pair is no longer a couple, but something more, instead.

"At the end of the day, we're always family, no matter what's going on," Kim Kardashian stated on Khloe In Wonder Land. According to her, their daughter, North West's inclination towards music production is a source of bonding for her and West.

"The music side and the producing side isn't my thing, and that's her bonding thing with her dad," Kim Kardashian said on Khloe In Wonder Land. Communicating about their shared best interests for North West keeps her and West aligned with each other.

This elevation in their relationship, perhaps, is the very result of their much-talked-about separation.

When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's marriage went South

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had dated for 2-3 years before tying the knot in 2014 and separating in 2022. These years were, however, not enough for Kim Kardashian to decipher Kanye West entirely. Having opened up over several talks and interviews, Kim Kardashian has stated her concerns over emotional and financial security as the basis of the separation.

On top of the unsettlement, Kanye West's continued erratic behaviour over social media, controversial comments were only fuel to the fire. West is now married to Yeezy designer, Bianca Censori.

Kim Kardashian has been spotted with Pete Davidson and Odell Beckham Jr. since then. Her concern for her children, especially the growing Gen-Alpha phenomenon, North West, has brought her and her ex-husband closer.
