The musical backbone of Euphoria, Labrinth, who has been at the centre of a storm after publicly quitting the music industry on March 13, declaring he is done with the industry and officially “out.” Just days later, the artist returned to the spotlight once again with another post unleashing a brutal attack on the very industry he walked away from.

The musician who composed two seasons of Euphoria and even won an Emmy Award for 'All for Us' now seems to hold a very different view of both the cast and the industry. On March 18, Labrinth took to Instagram to call out the “fakeness” of the music world, sharing how the industry corrupts genuine creativity and relationships, turning them into opportunistic, profit-driven exchanges, and rejects this culture, calling for authenticity, loyalty, and treating music as meaningful art rather than a business transaction.

"WHO THE F*** SAID THIS IS NORMAL OR OK TO TURN what I call GODS NOISE (our music) INTO BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS, I DONT SUBSCRIBE," he wrote in his post.

Instagram quickly erupted as voices across the music space, including singers like Dove Cameron and India Arie, resonated with his words.

Last year, HBO announced that renowned composer Hans Zimmer would join Labrinth for the new season of Euphoria, a collaboration he had then called an exciting new chapter. However, his tone now seems hard to ignore, as through back-to-back social media posts, Labrinth has sharply shifted his stance.

Amid the ongoing buzz around his public exit, Labrinth has already carved his name with a string of defining hits that continue to echo across the industry.
