LEGO honors David Attenborough on his 100th birthday with a slight update in their age range from 4-99 to 4-100+. The world-renowned British broadcaster, natural historian, and author has been a legend, especially in the genre of nature documentaries, where he has lent his voice to several environmental series like the Life series, Planet Earth, and Blue Planet. He has witnessed some key milestones in his career, the most famous of which is he being the one introducing color television to Britain.
His legendary status in broadcasting far exceeds the confines of a single country and envelops the whole world, and that is why even a big entity like LEGO has presented the icon with a tribute on his centennial anniversary. After admirers pointed out that he was too old to play with the vibrant bricks, LEGO sent a touching comment.
The LEGO boxes, which famously come with the age range 4-99, will now show 4-100+ just so that David Attenborough could play with them. The company took to their X (formerly Twitter) account and posted the photo of a LEGO Classic box with the updated range and with the message, “Updated for you, Sir David.”
This not only means Attenborough can play with the colorful bricks for an additional year, but the "+" also suggests he can keep on doing so for years to come. The famous toy company also posted a delightful birthday wish for the British National Treasure on their Instagram handle.
LEGO has definitely emerged as a top name to honor David Attenborough on his centenary wth such a big gesture, but it sure is not alone in this.
