For her 13th Met appearance, Kardashian embraced the “Fashion Is Art” dress code with a sculptural approach. Working alongside her creative director Nadia Lee Cohen, she tapped Jones to help translate his signature artistic style into a wearable statement. The result was a bold fusion of fashion and fine art, designed to stand out on the red carpet.

At the center of Kardashian’s look was a tangerine fiberglass breastplate, repurposed from an original late-1960s cast created by Allen Jones. Instead of commissioning a new mold, she chose to reinterpret this archival piece, giving her outfit a sense of history while aligning with the theme’s artistic focus.

The piece took weeks to complete, from sourcing the fiberglass to finishing it in an auto body shop for a high-gloss effect. She paired the sculptural top with a custom leather skirt crafted by Whitaker Malem, featuring hand-painted sunset-orange brushstrokes by Jones himself. The final ensemble blended vintage inspiration with contemporary craftsmanship, making it one of the most visually distinctive looks of the night.
