Lil Pump Reveals Wild Industry Practices That Pushed Him Away

The music industry has long been surrounded by rumors of strange behind-the-scenes practices and mysterious rituals tied to fame. Occasionally, artists themselves fuel those discussions with personal claims. And now, recently, rapper Lil Pump added his own startling account. What he described happening backstage might surprise even longtime industry watchers.
Lil Pump says disturbing rituals in the music industry pushed him to step away from the spotlight. Speaking during a livestream with Mikyle Rafiq, known online as Neon, the rapper described what he believes happens behind the scenes.
“I think everybody in the music industry does it,” he said during a livestream conversation on Kick.
Pump further described what he believed were ritual-like practices, adding, “They f------ start cutting heads off chickens and f------ putting pictures next to s---.”
During the conversation, Neon repeatedly asked whether those practices were real or just exaggerated rumors circulating online. Pump admitted that he had never witnessed them firsthand but insisted he had heard about them from people he personally knew within the industry.
While he did not name any artists, he claimed some “big names” were involved, saying the environment made him uncomfortable enough to step back from mainstream music circles.
While Pump’s claims shocked viewers, he is far from the only entertainer to hint at darker industry experiences.
Music figures beyond Lil Pump speak on troubling industry rituals
Over the years, several artists and entertainers have hinted at troubling aspects of fame. R&B singer Bryson Tiller has spoken about stepping back to protect his energy, while M.I.A. has questioned industry symbolism and influence.
Rapper NLE Choppa has also discussed negative vibrations he felt around fame and industry pressure before shifting toward wellness and spiritual practices.
However, there is no verified evidence supporting claims that ritual practices influence success in the music industry. Many critics argue that such stories often stem from personal beliefs, rumors, or symbolic imagery used in entertainment.
