Live concert powerhouse Esk, the company behind Top Gun: Maverick – Live in Concert, has secured a hefty $3.5 million investment after turning fighter-jet nostalgia into an orchestral spectacle. The production, staged at venues including London’s Royal Albert Hall, pairs Hans Zimmer, Harold Faltermeyer, and others' thunderous score with a full live orchestra, proving blockbuster cinema sounds even louder with investors cheering from the sidelines.

Esk secured its $3.5 million investment through a funding round led by Maven Capital Partners, with backing from the Maven Venture Capital Trusts and the British Business Bank’s Investment Fund for Scotland. The Scotland-based entertainment company has spent four years transforming blockbuster properties from Netflix, Paramount, and BAFTA into live theatrical spectacles.

“This investment from Maven and the British Business Bank is a massive vote of confidence in the company and our approach, and we look forward to building out our capabilities even further with their support.” Sam Weatherstone’s enthusiasm for Deadline reflected a company enjoying serious momentum after blending cinema into crowd-pulling events.

The investment also flatters Esk’s proprietary media control system, which sounds suspiciously like the sort of machinery a Bond villain would admire before a deadly mission. Still, the numbers are difficult to mock. Scotland’s entertainment upstart now appears poised to export its spectacularly loud ambitions far beyond home turf with the investment.
