One Piece exploded from Eiichiro Oda's legendary manga in 1997, hooking millions with Luffy's rubbery quest for the ultimate treasure. Past an anime adaptation and fast forward to 2023, Netflix's live-action drop put the final nail in the ship. Now, fans can catch the chaos as a live stunt spectacle roaring to life, courtesy of Universal Studios.

The world of One Piece is officially docking in Hollywood, following Universal Studios Hollywood's addition of a live stunt spectacle to its Fan Fest Nights lineup. Titled ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show, the experience will take over the iconic Waterworld venue and run across select dates from April 23 through May 16, 2026. The after-hours event is limited to just 12 nights.

This makes it a special treat for fans who want to see the Straw Hat Crew brought to life in a high-energy setting. The action unfolds on a reimagined Midori Island, where Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper set out in search of the rare, powerful Pop Greens. Things quickly spiral into chaos when the Marines crash the party, storming the island with explosive force and turning the adventure into a full-blown battle.

With pyrotechnics, fight choreography, and dramatic set pieces playing out right in front of a live audience, the show leans heavily into spectacle and crowd immersion. The 20-minute performance builds toward a lively finale that mixes action, comedy, and that signature One Piece spirit of friendship and freedom.

While the One Piece stunt show brings the Straw Hats to life on stage, it is only natural to wonder what exactly the Universal Fan Fest Nights are.

Universal Studios' playground for the fans

Universal Fan Fest Nights is designed as an after-hours celebration of fandom that transforms Universal Studios Hollywood into a fully immersive playground. This separately ticketed event blends interactive storytelling with live entertainment, themed food, exclusive merchandise, and character encounters. Each experience is crafted to place guests directly inside the worlds they love.

The event spans a wide range of universes and genres. A mystery adventure featuring Scooby-Doo pairs the beloved gang with legendary figures like Dracula and Frankenstein's Monster, while a magical journey inspired by Harry Potter takes place within the Forbidden Forest. Fans can also explore a fantasy quest rooted in Dungeons & Dragons, experience an anime showcase led by Sailor Moon, and enjoy a vibrant celebration inside Super Nintendo World.

Within this broader lineup, the One Piece live stunt show stands out as a major highlight, reinforcing the event’s focus on bringing iconic stories into the real world. Together, these offerings reflect a larger push to merge immersive design with fan-favorite storytelling, creating an environment where multiple worlds exist side by side in one cohesive experience.
