She also hailed audiences as far smarter than many assume, insisting that the bolder and sharper the stories Hollywood dares to tell, the stronger everything becomes. The actress further made it clear that authentic storytelling triumphs when writers, performers, and filmmakers trust viewers to meet the work at its deepest level.

“Don't let anyone water down your notes or your writing or your performance. I love the idea that the audience is smarter than we give them credit for," Cline said at the Forbes Under 30 Summit.

Earlier in a conversation with Zoya Hasan for Forbes, Cline and Richardson also pulled back the curtain on the bruising road of building a career in Hollywood. The story follows a private-yacht bartender whose routine shift spirals into danger after she crosses paths with Depp’s mysterious passenger, dragging both into a dark web tied to Penélope Cruz.

Depp leads as Kelly, a mysterious guest constantly drinking, while Cline plays Lorna, a grieving bartender who initially shuts down any romantic spark. Cruz steps in as the dangerous force pulling strings behind the chaos, with Manu Ríos, Arón Piper, Juan Diego Botto, and Anika Boyle rounding out the ensemble.
