“Many Tears Were Shed”- Cast of 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' Bid Adieu

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has completed filming for Seasons 4 and 5. Season 4 finished filming in July and will premiere in 2026. Season Five, the final season, will follow in 2027 on Paramount+. And this completion has prompted emotional farewells from the cast even before the final episode airs.

"At approximately 11:15pm EST, the last 'cut' was called by Mr. Akiva Goldsman. Many tears were shed," Anson Mount wrote on Instagram. Mount shared a photo of Captain Pike's empty ready room, reflecting on the emotional moment of the series wrap.

Mount expressed pride in his work, emphasizing lessons learned as both an actor and a leader on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. He also shared a video touring the empty sets for the final time, conveying nostalgia and gratitude.

Paul Wesley had shared an Instagram story commemorating his last day on set. Even the producing director, Chris Fisher, posted a video of the main cast together on the Starship Enterprise bridge, celebrating their final moments as a team.

Writer and producer Bill Wolkoff, who co-penned episodes including the fan-favorite Star Trek: Lower Decks crossover, announced the series wrap. Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Martin Quinn, and Jess Bush also shared emotional goodbyes on Instagram.

As fans witnessed the emotional farewells and final glimpses of the sets, they could not help but speculate about what Season 5 holds in store for them.
