Wuthering Heights has been long under production, and it seems to have taken a toll on Margot Robbie. Jacob Elordi, in these trying times, has given her comfort that often comes with the warmth of a covering sheet.

Almost 2 centuries after its first edition, Emerald Fennell caught Warner Bros.' eye with her flamboyant spin on Wuthering Heights. While the world gained yet another adaptation, Margot Robbie (Catherine) gained a support system in Jacob Elordi (Heathcliff) on set.

"I felt quite lost, like a kid without their blanket or something," Robbie said about being left in the absence of Elordi. In an interview with Fandango, the actress revealed her tendency to grow immensely attached to her co-stars.

"I’m so codependent with people I work with, and I love everyone so much," she explained to Fandango. She revealed how she is often left devastated after any project ends, which would mean parting with her co-stars after a continued period of time together.

Jacob Elordi, on the other hand, seems to have encouraged Robbie's dependence.

How Wuthering Heights brought its stars closer

Before Margot Robbie could have formed a deeper connection with Jacob Elordi, the actor had made himself available to her first. Robbie revealed in the Fandango interview how Elordi would hover while she would be playing her part.

"He would just be always in the vicinity where I was, in a corner, watching Cathy," she said. Emerald Fennell argued, saying she had, in fact, asked him to leave.

Wuthering Heights will be released on February 13, 2026. Emily Brontë's story has now devastated not just its readers but also brought together Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as sources of comfort for each other.
