His explanation for skipping the star-studded Madison Square Garden bash, however, is what actually got fans laughing out loud.

Mark Hamill's message began sweetly enough, congratulating Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on tying the knot in front of the world. He then pivoted straight into comedy, framing his absence as a deliberate personal choice rather than a simple miss. The tone shift alone was enough to turn heads before the actual punchline even landed.

"I declined to attend the wedding for a variety of personal reasons," Hamill wrote on his Instagram, setting up the punchline perfectly.

He then added, "but mainly because I wasn't invited," and just like that, a congratulatory post turned into an instant fan favorite.

For those catching up, Swift and Kelce said their vows on Friday night at Madison Square Garden in front of roughly 1,000 guests pulled from Hollywood, sports, and music. Clearly, the guest list Mark Hamill jokingly missed out on was nothing short of stacked.

Music also had a major presence, with Jack Antonoff, Gracie Abrams and Ed Sheeran, who brought wife, Cherry Seaborn, all in the building.
