Mark Wahlberg has led many a blockbuster espionage in Hollywood. In 2013, his tackling of the screen was a lot more Navy-level, luring Netflix in with its action lineup ready to be slotted.

The 2013 movie, Lone Survivor, will be winding up on Netflix, come January 1, 2026. It is based on retired Navy SEAL Mark Luttrell's book of the same name.

The film's release twelve years ago propelled Mark Wahlberg to the Best Actor position at the 19th Critics' Choice Awards. It received a 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with respect to its references to true military accounts.

The film will join numbers like Guillermo Del Toro's Hellboy, Johnny Mnemonic, and Lies We Tell, amongst others, also coming to Netflix as per What's On Netflix. Lone Survivor grossed  $14,403,750 on its opening day, on November 12, 2013.

Mark Wahlberg was not left alone to shoulder the integrity of Lone Survivor.

Lone Survivor had received a largely positive review through its initial screening to American football teams. With both them and the Navy having to fight for a place nationwide, the troops' heart-tugging performances in the film might have been their hook.

The performance credits go to Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emmy Hirsch, Ben Foster, and Eric Bana for the frontline. The cast rounds up with Yousuf Azami, Sammy Sheik, Rich Ting, and James Suh, among others.

Mark Wahlberg's 2013 tryst with the Taliban had ended fruitfully. As the new year rolls in, Netflix is preparing to bring the tale to a stream-worthy stature as well.
