As the Stranger Things Finale season got wrapped, the cast reunited–but this time not for the press tours or promotions, rather to celebrate one of their own. The co-stars added a hint of fairydust to Maya Hawke’s wedding to Christian Lee Hutson.

On February 14, 2026, the wedding ceremony of Maya Hawke and Christian Lee Hutson took place at St. George’s Episcopal Church in New York City.  The Stranger Things co-stars, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery attended the wedding.

A rare public appearance of the famous parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, added charm to the special day, with Hawke’s younger brother, Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke, also present. Hawke’s father, Ethan Hawke, walked her down the aisle.

Given the recent finale, the reunion became quite the emotional ordeal for Stranger Things' fans.

Hawke joined the Netflix Stranger Things Universe in Season 3, as the bestfriend to Joe Keery, who played the role of Steve Harrington. The cast bonded over the film schedules, their living together, and the series promotion. In an interview with Glamour, Hawke mentioned her closeness with Sadie Sink that grew while they lived together during the Stranger Things shoot.

This represents how creative collaboration with her cast built bonds, which have all the co-stars connected to date and celebrate the happiest moments in each other's presence. Funnily enough, it was this very shared creative space that brought Maya Hawke and Christian Hutson together.

How Maya Hawke met Christian Hutson?

Music played a significant role in Maya Hawke's and Charlie Hutson’s relationship. The two collaborated on her albums 'Moss' and 'Chaos Angel', building a creative partnership before becoming romantically involved. Hutson publicly referred to Hawke as his fiancée during a live SoCal Sound performance before the wedding, confirming their engagement.

Their first music collaboration was for Hawke’s second studio album, ‘Moss’, released in September 2022. Hutson co-wrote tracks such as 'Backup Plan' and 'Sweet Tooth', inclining it towards indie-folk.

Then came ‘Chaos Angel’, Hawke’s third studio album, released in May 2024. It was co-produced by Hutson, who was also seen posting and appreciating Hawke’s work in his Instagram post. Around the same period, Hawke contributed vocals and co-writing to Hutson’s own 2024 album, ‘Paradise Pop. 10.’

Their public debut arrived in April 2025, seated neatly at Booth Theatre for Sadie Sink’s John Proctor Is the Villain, a far cry from the Upside Down, but familiar company nonetheless. It was the sort of appearance that suggested what fans of Stranger Things already suspected: co-stars do not simply survive monsters together, they show up for each other’s victories too.
