No matter the suffix or the setting, queens are owed the royal treatment the title has always commanded. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry deliver just that to the Cookie Queens.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have dabbled in yet another venture, that of executive producing this time around. They have refreshed their expertise for an Archewell production. In fact, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry completed their duty full circle by gracing the film's premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

The documentary in question is directed by The New Bauhaus helmer, Alysa Nahmias, and is titled Cookie Queens. The royal pair's appearance in support of the film came as a surprise to the public. However, not so much to the insiders and the film's crew, at the festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This appearance follows Prince Harry's attendance at the London High Court for the trial-hearing against the Daily News. The pair also exchanged camera clicks with the Sundance Film Festival founder's daughter, Amy Redford, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Cookie Queens, on the other hand, seems to be a production quite on-brand for the Duke and Duchess.

What is Cookie Queens about?

Premiering on January 25, 2026, Cookie Queens brought forth insight around Girl Scout businesses. The crux of the documentary revolved around four girls battling to take over the Cookie Queen title during the Girl Scout Cooking Season.

The focus is on the young girls' tenacity and surprising business-inclined minds while selling their batches of cookies. Their prowess has, in fact, even been held parallel to that of CEOs, Supreme Court justices, and others, by the Sundance programmer, Stephanie Owens.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have not only taken the credit for their efforts but also given back to Cookie Queens with their presence and support. Their surprise appearance at Sundance, if not prove, certainly reflects the importance of the project in their lives.
