Michael ‘5000’ Watts died on January 30, 2026, at the age of 52. According to a statement from his family, Watts died from sudden cardiac death caused by a rare and fatal heart rhythm disorder known as Torsades de Pointes.

Earlier that week, Watts had been hospitalized at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands. The family confirmed his hospitalization for tremendous health issues and later his death through his official Instagram account.
