Miley Cyrus Makes History as First 1990s-Born Artist to Be Honored on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Iconic popstar Miley Cyrus recently added yet another historic milestone to her already legendary career. The Grammy-winning singer is officially getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and is the first person born in the 1990s to be given the honor. The achievement had further set Cyrus’ transformation from Disney Channel sensation to one of pop culture’s most influential stars.
The ‘Flower’ singer will receive the star on Friday, May 22. iHeart Media personality Ellen K will host the star ceremony. Furthermore, actress Anya Taylor-Joy and fashion designer Donatella Versace will speak to the crowd.
“Miley deserves her flowers as she has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry,” Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement, as per Billboard. “Generations of young girls have grown up watching her evolve, finding inspiration in her journey and fearless creativity.”
Cyrus’ star, which is the 2,845th, will be located at 7011 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood. The ceremony will be streamed live on its site at 11:30 a.m. PT. For the unversed, the 33-year-old rose to fame as a child actress for her breakout role in Hannah Montana, but she is now a hugely influential figure in the music world.
