“They’re just people living their lives. It’s not like we have this blood bond,” she said in an interview with Vanity Fair. Rather than looking outward for guidance, Alcock chose to trust her instincts and approach Kara Zor-El on her own terms.

Alcock also revealed that while working with Julianne Moore on Sirens, she avoided seeking acting advice from the Oscar winner, preferring to learn through experience rather than relying on mentorship. Her confidence comes with honesty, though.

“Of course I’m scared,” Alcock told Vanity Fair. “Of course I want people to like me and the movie. But ultimately, it’s out of my control.” The quote reflects both the pressure of joining the DC Universe and her determination to stay grounded through it.
