One Academy Award year down, Christopher Nolan has turned accolades into a brand. To the enthusiasts flocking to YouTube channels for every new update, The Odyssey is looking just as deserving.

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey received its trailer kickstart on December 22, 2025. The visuals of plumed helmets and scuffed armor have paid off the anticipators with a promising installation. Fans have called for another Oscar grab as well.

The trailer's quick-shifting frames have given away scenes of harrowed soldiers braving the sea. A trireme fights the weather, as Odysseus and his men try to make their way back home.

The 1-minute, 53-second clip also reveals more defining looks to Anne Hathaway(Penelope), Matt Damon, and Tom Holland(Telemachus). Matt Damon, who plays Odysseus, takes up the scenes with ample grit.

Christopher Nolan's legendary attention to detail, however, spans cast-wide as well.

The Odyssey's Hollywood dream-cast

The trailer for The Odyssey has hinted at a summer 2026 release. Ahead of all sorts of teasers, Christopher Nolan's first look and cast reveal have had the audience reeling for a long time.

The cast of The Odyssey has additions of Zendaya, Mia Goth, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron, alongside Anne Hathaway. Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, and Matt Damon.

Christopher Nolan has tipped the audience with The Odyssey's trailer to theorize with. As the Oscar-anticipatory film approaches its premiere, Odysseus' tale stands paused at the sea for now.
