While 2026 has already churned through giant Hollywood blockbusters and nonstop headline storms, April delivered something bigger when NASA’s Artemis II launched on April 1 and pulled the world’s gaze back to space. The mission sent humans toward the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years, becoming one of the year’s most powerful real-world spectacles. And now, capping that historic run, the astronauts behind Artemis II are set to debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with stories only space could tell.
As teased for the upcoming April 30, Thursday episode, the crew behind NASA’s Artemis II will make their Tonight Show debut, with Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen all set to appear on NBC. The landmark mission became the first human journey toward the Moon in more than 50 years, marking humanity’s return to deep space since the Apollo 17 Moon Mission. Launched from Kennedy Space Center, the mission safely splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on April 10 after completing a historic 10-day voyage.
During the mission, Artemis II reached 252,756 miles from Earth, setting a new record for the farthest humans have ever travelled into deep space.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, known for spinning headlines into sharp television, recently hosted BTS for a two-night takeover that sent global buzz soaring on March 25 and 26, 2026. Fresh from completing military service, all seven members reunited for explosive interviews and performances, turning the show into an event of its own.
And now, while another historic night already seems ready to unfold, the show has already welcomed some massive names in 2026.
Inside The Tonight Show’s biggest guest moments of 2026 so far
While BTS recently lit up the studio, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon had already stacked major moments earlier in 2026. On February 6, Chris Hemsworth and MrBeast headlined a special post-Olympic Opening Ceremony episode that pulled 2.4 million viewers, the show’s strongest audience in over a year. Even before that, hockey star Hudson Williams created a viral storm on January 7 when he taught Jimmy Fallon the now-famous “frog stretch,” a clip that reportedly exploded to 45 million views across social media in just two days.
Then on April 1, the show landed another headline-grabbing double strike with Zendaya and Robert Pattinson appearing together for one of spring’s most anticipated episodes. Their pairing drove major buzz online as fans tuned in for two of Hollywood’s most in-demand stars sharing the same couch, further proving Fallon’s stage has remained a magnet for must-watch moments throughout 2026.
As the stage gets ready for another historic night, fans now have only a few days left before witnessing the Artemis II heroes bring their extraordinary journey to The Tonight Show.
